What we collect
Account details from signing in with Google (name, email), the profile information you add, and the sessions and messages you create. We also collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics and technical error reports to keep the service running (see Cookies and Service providers below).
How we use it
To run ClipdIn. That means showing your sessions and profile to other climbers, enabling messaging, and understanding usage and diagnosing faults so we can keep it reliable.
What we share
We don't sell your data. Profile and session details you post are visible to other users.
We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate ClipdIn, who process data on our behalf (see Service providers below).
Cookies
We only use cookies that are strictly necessaryto run the service. They keep you signed in and protect the sign in forms. These don't require consent, and we don't use cookies for advertising or to track you across other sites.
Our usage analytics and error monitoring are cookielessand don't identify you individually, so ClipdIn doesn't show a cookie consent banner. If that ever changes (for example, if we add optional analytics), we'll ask for your consent first.
Service providers
We rely on these providers to operate ClipdIn:
- Vercel for hosting and our cookieless, anonymous usage analytics.
- Sentry for error and performance monitoring (diagnostic data, no session recording).
- Google for sign in (you authenticate with your Google account).
- Neon for database hosting of your account, sessions, and messages.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active.
Your rights
You can request access to, or deletion of, your data.
